Jamie Cogburn is a Las Vegas personal injury attorney and a founding member of Cogburn Davidson Car Accident & Personal Injury Lawyers. His practice is dedicated to representing individuals harmed by others’ negligence, and he has successfully advocated for hundreds of clients—whether through strategic settlements or taking cases to trial.
Originally from Sherman, Texas, Jamie later moved to Reno, Nevada, where he graduated from Reno High School. He earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of Nevada and went on to graduate cum laude from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in 2003. Following law school, he served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Ron Parraguirre before joining a prominent Las Vegas law firm.
Jamie is honored to serve as the 2023 President of the Nevada Justice Association. He also acts as a Trustee for Citizens for Justice, advocating for the rights of Nevadans at the state legislature. Deeply committed to giving back, Jamie donates his time and resources to local organizations including Give to Learn, Three Square Food Bank, Boys & Girls Club, and Shade Tree. His firm also provides annual need-based scholarships for individuals who have overcome significant adversity.
He is well known for his commitment to protecting the community from insurance company abuses and for supporting individuals facing financial hardship. Jamie is highly regarded for taking cases to trial, as demonstrated by the many jury verdicts and awards he has earned throughout his career. He is an AV-rated trial attorney, a member of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum (less than 1% of U.S. lawyers qualify), and has been recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star every year since 2010—an honor awarded to fewer than 5% of attorneys under 40. He has also been named to the Top 40 Under 40 by the National Trial Lawyers.
Outside the office, Jamie enjoys spending time with his three children and fiancée, traveling, golfing, and being with family and friends.
